About the LUA

Fully supported by Lawson Software, the LUA General Manager organises conferences, seminars, training courses, workshops, and focus interest group meetings, which are all free of charge to attend for members, in order to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and experiences, both among its members and with Lawson.

There are a number of "streams" within these meetings, such as Finance, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Commercial, and Technical, and each time we choose a different topic, such as Standard Costing, Inventory Management, Order Re-scheduling, or Archiving.

We also work with third-party companies to develop / modify their software to suit our members' needs.

Global Association of M3 User Groups

The LUA is a founding member of the Global Association of M3 User Groups, which is written as GAM3 for short, but said as "GAME" for ease.

Graham Maxfield, General Manager of the LUA is also the Co-ordinator of GAM3, and is a member of the GAM3 Board.

Change from MUA to LUA

Following a vote at the MUA Annual General Meeting, held at the Chesford Grange, Warwickshire, UK on 13th October 2009, the MUA's Constitution was amended to allow all Lawson Software activities, and resulted in the Movex User Association being renamed as the Lawson User Association, and this name change was registed with the UK's Companies House on 23rd December 2009.
